Srinagar , December 29 (KNO) : All regular employees of health department on Friday wore blank badge in solidarity with protesting National Health Mission (NHM) employees across state. Pertinently the black band protest was announced by President Doctors Association Kashmir(DAK) , Dr Suhail Naik on Thursday when he addressed protesting NHM employees at Pratap Park . Retreating the importance of NHM employees who are now back bone of health sector and are working on meagre salaries from past decade, DAK has promised that it will not allow health sector to derail by doing internal arrangements of regular staff, but at the same will not sabotage genuine strike of NHM doctors. Requesting regular heath staff to cancel their leaves immediately so that health care system can function uninterrupted, President DAK stresses upon Hon'ble Finance Minister to come with a road map and get protesting essential manpower back to their work. The callous attitude of state government is taking heavy toll on regular health staff and their physical exertion has reached to a elastic limit ,where from it can breakdown at any point and result in collapse of heath care services. Meanwhile realizing the fact that these are tough times for whole medical fraternity as we are working with out NHM force who are literally spine of health care system, DAK President Dr Naik appeals people to cooperate with health department at this harsh time. Further requesting people for full cooperation, DAK appeals routine patients to curtail their visits to emergency departments for blood pressure screening and allow desired patients to get proper treatment in these trying times. Reiterating their stand of Quality Care and Patient Welfare, DAK assured people that we are trying our best to serve patients as we have worked during floods or turmoils. We are pumping our blood and sweat to profession to get our people relieved from pain and agony.(KNO)
